What are the benefits to maintenance companies from sponsoring The CLMA?”
We refer back to the ideals set down in the original proposals for inception of The CLMA to see if they are still relevant.
Back in 1966 they recognised that the maintenance industry struggles to rise above the perspective that it is a necessary evil. Also that protection of building assets through strong communication and best practice is imperative. This is to improve the maintenance industry by forming an association to promote the expertise and professional integrity of those with a controlling interest in maintenance.
- So the conclusion is that the original blueprint for The CLMA still addresses current issues for any service industry:
- To promote the professionalism and integrity of those employed in buildings maintenance.
- To establish and maintain excellence and professional standards and codes of practice in maintenance.
- To create a strong and resilient industry.
WHY would clients (Building Owners & Manufacturers & Services Suppliers) belong to the CLMA?
- There has been a long history of clients or those representing the owners or having a representative of the committee of the CLMA.
- There is an inherent advantage to rubbing shoulders with those who are responsible for maintaining buildings on your behalf or even uses your products and services.
- This drives synergy and sense of purpose within the maintenance industry setting aside any presumption of professional conflict or personal misrepresentation.
It the considered opinion of the committee that there has never been a greater need for an association such as the CLMA. |
